Our final week of quarter 4 exploratory classes has arrived! This week students are making Caesar salad over two days, one day to make croutons and salad dressing, one day to cook bacon and prep lettuce. Our last class together is Monday, June 26.
Student duotangs with recipes, class work and a self-reflection will be sent home with students to share with their adults. Thank you all for a great quarter, I wish you all a safe and restful summer!
This week we are making French toast served with orange slices! Students will once again be testing their stove safety and team work by completing a whole-kitchen lab. There will be a smoothie demo at the end of the week and each kitchen will be customizing a recipe based on categories such as frozen fruit, green veggies, dairy, grains, etc.
